DUDE, IT'S A STUDE!!!
Roger Linderman of Economy, PA likes the unusual, non-cookie cutter cars. So, when he had the opportunity to pick up this 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII, he jumped at it. I spotted him and the car at the #1 Cochran Chevy Fest in June of 2023. It first caught my eye because it was Chevy Fest and there was a Studebaker!
The car had quite a journey before it reached Roger. It was originally sold in Tennessee and ended up in Florida where it was sold in 2017 at Mecum Kissimmee. It changed hands after that before ending up in Roger’s garage. He said that if you search the internet for 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII, this car pops up everywhere, from its Mecum listing to Bring-A-Trailer, Pinterest and Barn Finds.
The car has 32K original miles and is powered by a V8 and a 2-speed automatic transmission. Aside from a repaint in its original Hawaiian Green, it remains mostly untouched in its 60-plus year existence.
