John Weaver was looking for an intermediate body style from the ’60s and fell in love with this ’64 Cutlass Convertible. “I got it off a guy in West Chester, PA. It’s been restored and when I saw that it was a convertible and the condition it was in, I was sold!”
What drew me to his car, aside from the fact that it was an orphaned Cutlass from the now defunct Oldsmobile brand, were the cheeky touches on the car, from the bumper sticker that reads, “No Air Bags. We die like real men”, to the button in the cigarette lighter that reads, “fire missiles”.
It’s finished in Provincial White with a white top and powered by an Oldsmobile 330 ci V8 with a 4-barrel and backed by an automatic. “It’s got discs up front and drums in the rear, but I upgraded the master cylinder to a dual-reservoir unit.”
